A CONTEMPORORY MALAYALAM ADAPTATION OF JAPANESE PLAY BY YUKIO MISHIMA
"adapted and directed by Jebin Jesmes , 2010"
The play Dojoji is about human heart. The human heart has hidden treasures, In secret kept, in silence sealed, the thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures, whose charms were broken if revealed. The words are mishima's, but the scenes and lines have been cut and rearranged.
Making This Drama
Making This Drama has been a cathartic process and an exploration of representational realism. The play states that we do not (and cannot) perceive the external world as it really is; instead we know only our ideas and interpretations of the way the world is. The schizophrenic nature of theplay, swinging back and forth between high drama and low comedy,is the juxtaposition creates a dizzying effect portary lonliness of human mind. Play depicts little do men perceive what solitude is, and how far it extend. For a crowed is not company, and faces are but a gallery of pictures, I felt it was perhaps time to listen to them, peep in to their world of tears and trauma and discover their happiness and hopes.
